5 Squirrels feature in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2023

Updated: Jul 26, 2023

5 Squirrels is a winner in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work in 2023. This prestigious recognition is a testament to the company's commitment to creating a positive work culture and investing in the wellbeing of its employees.

The Sunday Times Best Places to Work is an annual ranking of UK companies based on anonymous feedback from employees. Companies are assessed on factors such as workplace culture, employee benefits, career progression opportunities, and overall job satisfaction.

5 Squirrels' success reflects the company's strong emphasis on employee wellbeing and development. The company recently transformed an abandoned warehouse in Hove into a vibrant and fun working environment which enables most employees to walk or cycle to work, and ensures they have a positive experience while they are here.

In June 2022, 5 Squirrels introduced a 4-Day Week which means all employees are now paid 100% of their salary for 80% of their time in return for 100% productivity. Everyone at the company works Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm and all employees are actively encouraged to leave on time every day.

"We are thrilled to have won The Sunday Times Best Places to Work," said Gary Conroy, CEO of 5 Squirrels. "Our employees are at the heart of everything we do, and this recognition is a testament to our commitment to creating a positive, supportive, and inclusive workplace culture. New working methodologies have been introduced to ensure that we are working smarter not harder, including a 4-Day Week."

This latest award comes on the back of several other accolades for 5 Squirrels in recent years, including ‘The World’s Most Innovative Medical Aesthetics Manufacturer’ and ‘Best Clinic Support Partner’. The company also recently received certification of conformance to ISO 9001:2015 standards in the manufacture and supply of cosmetic products, the most recognised of all quality standards worldwide.

“2023 is shaping up to be another record-breaking year for the company,” said Gary Conroy. "We have just launched the world’s first doctor-led CBG and CBD range, and an innovative new eye lift gel called Refine Frequency. In the summer, we’ll be launching a new pigmentation serum and a menopause range, with more new products throughout this year and beyond.”
